Beer of the Week 2/21: New England Project

Beer: New England Project

Type: NEIPA

ABV: 6.1%

Brewer: Oak and Iron Brewing Co.

Location: Andover, MA

Before we get to the beer, this brewery was pretty much exactly what I look for in a brewery as far as look and feel. This isn't one of our longer BrewReview blogs, so I will leave it at that for now! We'll get there for a formal review soon enough.

This beer... UNBELIEVABLE. This right here is why we do Beer of the Week. I was advised to go with this beer by the gent that was working the bar, so all the credit to him! He said it was their most popular. I always like to start with a breweries go-to beer and branch out from there. The go-to is part of their identity, which is what we're looking for here at BeerSighted.

Anyway... THIS BEER! The New England Project is soft, almost like it's floating through your mouth. The citrus and tropical notes combined with mass amounts of dry-hop aromas, finishing with a slight bitterness get the job done from start to finish.

The aforementioned bartender suggested a flip of the can before sipping or pouring to really ensure the sediment mixed right in there giving the full flavor and golden-haziness. Worked like a charm. A+ brew!
