Beer of the Week 5/24: DDH Pulp Daddy
Updated: Oct 5, 2020
Beer: DDH Pulp Daddy
Type: New England IPA
Brewer: Greater Good Imperial Brewing Co.
Location: Worcester, MA
Going after a beer made by a brewing company that only produces imperials sounds intimidating. But once you take your first sip of this brew, you’ll get it. Pulp Daddy is one of Greater Good’s most popular staples, and a double-dry-hopped version only ups the ante here. According to Greater Good’s site, this beer boasts more than double the amount of hops than the original, but when you take a swig of this one the only thing you really notice are some intense fruity flavors of mango and orange - there’s almost no bite to this beer whatsoever. Impressive considering the imperial stature. This one blew us away. Not to mention, it’s one of our favorite brewery logos out there.
